Tsakane to celebrate Child Protection Week

Tsakane – The Tsakane police, in conjunction with the Local Creches Association, will host a Child Protection Week next Friday.

The event will be conducted at the Tsakane Stadium from 10am.

“On the day, about 1 750 children from 70 creches are expected to be present at the planned festivities.

“The purpose of the event is to educate these children on crime, abuse, drugs and to encourage them to trust and be friends with the police.

“We have also planned some fun filled activities for the children through the help of various units who will be coming to show support on the day,” says Tsakane police spokesman Capt Petros Mabuza.
