The sentence was handed down to the accused at the Nigel Court while he was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, police spokesman says this comes after an incident that took place on May 17, 2015 at about 4pm in Zamani Section Duduza.
“The man slept with a 15-year-old school girl and when the grandmother of the girl saw this, she reported the incident to the police.
“He was then arrested on July 15,” shares Ramphora.
The jailbird is now serving his sentence at the Nigel Prison.
