Though all doors and windows were closed, the vehicle was unlocked and the key was left in the ignition as the paramedic rushed into the house.
When the paramedic had fulfilled his duties, he left the house, but the vehicle was nowhere to be found.
SAPS and the EMPD did, however, manage to recover the vehicle on Tuesday in Buti Street, KwaThema.
No arrests have been made but police are still investigating a case of theft of motor vehicle.
