This comes after an angry robber shot three times near the spot where the shop owner was hiding.
The shop owner had ducked underneath the counter as soon as he heard the demands for money and saw the gun.

“Two men went into a tuck shop in White City to buy cigarettes at about 8.30pm on Friday and then drove off in a green car.
“After about 10 minutes, one of the men returned to the shop and demanded money,” says police spokesman Capt Thabo Sibuyi,
As the robber drew a firearm, the owner ducked under the counter and managed to crawl away, in an attempt to hide.
He then heard three shots being fired at the counter.
“Three cartridges were found on the scene as well as three bullet holes in the counter.
“It seems that after shooting, the unknown man fled the scene.

“We continue to urge shop owners to refrain from keeping their shops open after 8pm and not to open shop before at least 7am, to avoid these murders and robberies that arise,” says Sibuyi.
Nothing was taken from the shop and no one was injured.
