“The team won a trophy and medals for their participation in the tournament".

KwaThema – Learners at Thembalikazulu qualified to participate in the district games after participating in the local soccer games last week.

The team won one match and drew in two games putting them in second place.

Educator Pat Mokoena says the team will represent Gauteng East in the district games.

“A total of 21 teams participated. The team won a trophy and medals for their participation in the tournament,” says Mokoena.

He continued to say they are proud of the team.

“They have worked hard to make it this far.

“We will continue to fight for a spot in the provincial games and even go further in the competition,” he concluded.
