Metro in late stages of appointing contractor to fix civic centre

The Addie reported on the poor state of parts of the civic centre last week.

Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson, says they are close to appointing a contractor to fix the civic centre.

“It is also important to note that the metro does constant maintenance of its own facilities and infrastructure.

“However, due to limited and constantly reducing budgetary resources, some of the public infrastructure experience a slow pace of maintenance.”
