Man in possession of narcotics nabbed in KwaThema

The suspect was charged with possession and dealing in narcotics at KwaThema Police Station.

KwaThema- An operation conducted in KwaThema led to the arrest of a 30-year-old man in possession and dealing in drugs on Monday.

He was found by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in possession of drugs with estimated street value of R16 600.

EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago says when the house on Malifika Street was searched they found 106 half mandrax tablets and six half-moon crack cocaine.

“We also found two khat ziplocks and 14 ziplocks with crack cocaine containing 31 pieces.

“Additionally, a cash amounting of just under R1 000 was confiscated which is suspected to be proceeds of narcotics,” he explains.

The suspect was charged with the possession and dealing in narcotics at KwaThema Police Station.

“He is expected to appear in the KwaThema Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

“He was detained at KwaThema Police Station,” says Kgasago.
