Dusty Soccer Knockout (DUSOK) is inviting local teams to participate in the upcoming Langaville DUSOK tournament.

Langaville – Dusty Soccer Knockout (DUSOK) is inviting local teams to participate in the upcoming Langaville DUSOK tournament in celebration of Youth Month.

The soccer and netball event will be hosted over two days in Langaville and is organised by the Palamente Football Club.

The tournament will be held on June 15 and 16 at Langaville Extension One and Ext Eight grounds. The tournament is set to celebrate young, talented individuals from the area.

“This tournament is about nurturing the talent while celebrating Youth Day.

“We are trying to avoid this bad culture of mixing Youth Day with alcohol,” says co-organiser Mandla Gininda.

Interested clubs must submit their club names, address and contact details to the tournament organiser at palamentefc@outlook.com or WhatsApp it to 060 634 4955.

The games are for u-15 and senior soccer teams and consist of four u-15 teams, four netball teams and four senior teams.

Seniors will be males on soccer and mixed on netball teams.

The tournament will be structured as follows:

• June 15 at Langaville Ext Eight Ground for the u-15 team semi-finals

• June 16 at Langaville Ext One Ground for the senior teams and netball teams.

The registration fees are R200 for u-15 teams, R200 for netball teams and R300 for senior teams.

Entries close on May 31.

There are prizes for first teams.

Winning prizes for the u-15 team is R500, a trophy and 25 gold medals; for the netball team it is R500, a trophy and 20 gold medals. The winning senior team will walk away with R800, a trophy and 25 gold medals.
