Honing skills in baking

Tsakane– Do you have an interest in learning about baking?

The Baking Skill Workshop is inviting all future chefs, or anyone who has an interest in learning about all things pastry and baking, to the Baking Skill Workshop.

The Skills workshop will be hosted by Enock Dladla who is a qualified baker and an accredited FoodBev Seta holder.

The workshop will cater for anyone from the age of 16, must be able to read and write.

It will be a two weeks project which will be held at the Tsakane Old Age home.

“I will conduct classes where students get to learn about baking from the scratch.

“Things such as bread, cup-cakes, pastry pies, and so forth,” says Dladla.

The workshop is to assist culinarians who cannot afford formal education but who love baking and learning about food.

The registration will only cost R100 per learner for the duration of two weeks.

On completing the course an attendance certificate is awarded.

Enock Dladla says: “The course will be very educational and it is a great way of creating employment because there are people who bake as a hobby but not aware they can turn it into a small business or a way of making an extra income.”

Registrations starts on June 3.
