Tsakane author writes book asking parents and teachers to support teenagers

“The main aim of this book is to teach teenagers that out of every difficulty in life you can still make it.”

Tsakane – Thembisile Gwebu, a Tsakane born author, is urging all in Kwatsaduza to read her book Walk to the Future.

The book, which was released in May this year, speaks about the issues that are faced by teenagers and how their teachers and parents should help them deal with the issues they face.

“This book is a plea to parents, teachers and teenagers to come together and become one,” she says.

According to the JE Malepe Secondary School former learner, the book is relevant because it covers every day issues like depression in teenagers, dealing with loss, family problems, abuse, peer pressure and teenage pregnancy.

In a statement the author says, “The main aim of this book is to teach teenagers that out of every difficulty in life you can still make it.

“Every problem has a solution.

“It encourages them to stay firm and never be discouraged.”

The teenage mentor says her passion is in helping teenagers deal with the issues that they face as they grow up and does this through motivational talks and one-on-one talks.

The author also says she writes from her experience and those of others to bring teachings and healing to her readers.
