Achieving Masimini Primary learners receive certificates
Top performing Masimini Primary School learners for the term were rewarded with certificates on July 24.
KwaThema – Top performing learners for the term at Masimini Primary School were rewarded with certificates on July 24.
School administrator at Masimini Primary Stephen Simelani explains that the awards ceremony is meant to recognise hard-working learners and motivate the other learners to pull up their socks.

“The awards were to recognise outstanding performance.
“To encourage other learners, since we are in third term, that they can still do better.
“Looking at their peers receiving awards was motivation to them.
“And to the parents to say we still recognise excellence and good performance,” says Simelani.
Grade Seven learner Lerato Mokgadi says: “I am proud of myself for having obtained a top achiever certificate in mathematics.
“I would like to say to my peers that maths is not that difficult, the more you practise the better you will become at it.”
She explains that she enjoys doing sums and writing.
The certificates are to prepare learners as well for the end of the year prestigious award ceremony, which will have top achievers walking away with prizes for having worked hard during the year.

Princess Gcisa (12) says this means a lot to her as it symbolises her hard work and dedication.
She also adds it is essential for learners to spend time with their books and ask questions if there is something which they do not understand.
