
KwaThema – KwaThema police are warning residents about the recent increase in criminal activities taking place in the township.
This comes after reports were made to the police by victims that they were allegedly approached in their homes by a group of males claiming to be on a recruitment drive from Checkers in Mall @ Carnival looking for people to work over the festive season.

KwaThema police spokesperson Const Media Khoza says the unsuspecting victims allowed the criminals entry into their home.
“They were then robbed of their belongings at gunpoint, such as television sets and household appliances.
“Passengers of mini taxis (4+1) are warned to be vigilant and take note of the registration number and make of the vehicle they are traveling in,” he says.
