Police warn residents about crime in their areas

Duduza – Duduza police embarked on a crime awareness blitz in Bluegum View, next to the Extension 15 taxi rank, Catch Up Zone precinct and Nala Street old shops, on Thursday.

Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka says admin members from the police station, local CPF patrollers and the youth desk also joined the campaign.

“The main aim of the campaign was to interact with the residents through handing out pamphlets while informing them of ways in which they can act to avoid being victims of crime.

“We warned them about hijackings, burglaries, street robberies and gender-based violence.

“We made it clear that police will act without fear or favour against any person found to have violated the law during this festive season and beyond,” he adds.
