Duduza – A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man known to her on Saturday.
The victim says she was at John Tavern in Ntuthu Street when she approached the suspect, who was sitting with his girlfriend, to borrow R20.
According to Springs SAPS spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora, the suspect told the victim that he left his money at home.

Later, the suspect left the tavern without his girlfriend.
The victim followed him and met at the suspect’s home, where the victim insisted on the money from the suspect.
The suspect allegedly asked her to come into the house to get the money.
Inside the house, the suspect allegedly locked the door, took off the victim’s clothes and forced himself on her.
