Robbery at Dan Radebe Primary School disturb learning

“The criminals also broke into the vault and stole about R20 000 in cash."

Duduza – Education was interrupted at Dan Radebe Primary School in Zamani section after their school was broken into on Wednesday morning.
It is alleged the incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to witnesses, the patrollers were attacked by a group of five men who were armed with two firearms.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said the guards were forced to lie on the floor and were assaulted before they were tied up.
“The criminals went into the school administration block where they gained entry through cutting the roof and disabling the alarm system. They then broke into the offices and stole eight computers, TV sets and other electronics.
“The criminals also broke into the vault and stole about R20 000 in cash. The patrollers were kicked and assaulted with firearms,” he said.

Manaka said police are investigating a case of business robbery and are urging anyone with credible information that can assist in finding the criminals to call the Duduza SAPS on 071 675 7027 or the SAPS Crime Stop on 0800 10111.
