Tsakani – A 29-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of his friend on Saturday.
It is alleged the man (25) was stabbed during an altercation at the suspect’s residence along KwaZulu-Natal Street in Langaville Extension Eight.
“It is alleged the deceased had argued with all of his friends. He ran into the house and came back with a stick and started to fight with the suspect.

“In his defence, the suspect fought back and went on to stab him with a knife he had in his possession.
“Police and medical emergency services were called to the scene and declared the man dead at the scene,” explained Ekurhuleni East Cluster SAPS spokesperson Sgt Maropeng Maphaya.
Maphanya added the suspect handed himself in at the police station.
He was arrested and detained at Tsakani SAPS.
The investigation is ongoing.
