Residents of Moloko Street battled with a serious sewage problem for months.

Several houses were affected by the problem.
“When it started we thought maybe it was the drain, but found out it was a blocked manhole as several houses were experiencing the same problem,” she stated.
The City of Ekurhuleni attended to the matter on Monday.
“We are hoping this time around the matter has been sorted for good, as living with poo, sanitary pads and used toilet paper floating around your yard isn’t fun.

“I had to sweep the yard every morning before going to work.
“I also live with an elderly person who could not stay inside the house with closed windows the whole day or not able to use the toilet,” she added.
