Kwa-Thema woman raped

The victim claimed she did not know his name or physical address.

Kwa-Thema – Police are investigating after a 27-year-old woman was raped last Thursday evening.
The victim was walking home in Interland when she came across a male acquaintance along Tolashe Street in Rest in Peace.
Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Const Nkululeko Magudulela said the man dragged the victim to a house in Extension Three, where he forcefully had sex with her.

The victim claimed she did not know his name or physical address.
“The victim managed to leave the house where the incident took place and went home.
“The following morning she went to Kwa-Thema SAPS to report the incident.
“She, along with the police, went to the crime scene and she pointed out the house along Malika Street,” he said.
Magudulela added the man was not at home and could not be found.

While on their way back to the police station, however, the victim saw the man driving a blue car and pointed him out to the police.
“They stopped the car and the suspect was informed about the allegations made against him and was arrested for detention,” he added.
The man is expected to appear in the Kwa-Thema Magistrate’s Court soon.
