Kwa-Thema – Kwa-Thema police are investigating a case of murder as the body of a man was found at Kwa-Thema Hostel, close to Block B hostel, on Monday.
The deceased was found with a stab wound to his chest and was certified dead on the scene by paramedics.
Police investigations led to the home of a female at a house right next to where the deceased was found.

Further investigation revealed that she knows the deceased and it is alleged she and the deceased were dating.
Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Const Nkululeko Mangudulula said the witness told investigators she, the deceased, her sister and her boyfriend had been drinking at her place.
“The deceased jokingly made a comment towards her sisters ‘boyfriend’ who then got upset and an argument broke out between the two.
“The suspect then got up and stabbed the deceased once in the chest,” he explained.

It is alleged the deceased attempted to walk out of the door only to fall over a few metres from the house.
The suspect tried to conceal the incident by removing the body of the deceased from the front of the house and dumping it in a pathway next to the house where the incident occurred.
Magudulela added the deceased was identified by his family who lives around Ekuthuleni as Siboniso Zipho Buthelezi.
