Women unharmed after house robbery

One of the men was armed with a gun.

Kwa-Thema – A woman and her friends were surprised by robbers last Friday evening.

The 40-year-old victim told police she was with three friends in the kitchen of her Mohapi Street home when they heard the sound of the door opening and saw two men walk inside.

One of them was armed with a gun.

The victim’s friends ran into other rooms in the house, but the men followed them and demanded the keys to the car parked outside.

One of the men then fired a shot at the victim. She ran out to look for help from her neighbours.

When she returned, she found that the men had taken two cellphones, valued at R5 000. The men fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries reported after the incident.
