Robbers make off with R62 000

Nigel – Robbers made off with R62 000 from Dunnotor SPAR on Thursday morning.
A G4S armoured van had come to collect money from the store, with one security guard going into the store to collect money from the safe while another waited inside the van.
Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Const Nkululeko Magudulela said as the security guard made his way back to the armoured vehicle, he was threatened at gunpoint by a man.

“He was then joined by three more suspects, all with firearms. A civilian was also disarmed of his pistol.
“The security guard was pulling a trolley with a money bag containing approximately R62 000. He was also disarmed of a 9mm pistol,” he said.
Magudulela added that no shots were fired and no injuries occurred.
The robbers, believed to have been a gang of seven men or more, sped off in two vehicles, a silver Nissan Tida and a white Toyota Corolla.
