Raymond died a hero

The security guard was rushed to hospital, where he later died.

Duduza – A member of the Prasa Technical Response Team (TRT), Raymond Kambule, died trying to protect his friend’s business on Friday evening.

He is one of the four people who were shot and killed during a shoot-out between robbers and the security guard stationed at the Ishaak Butchery.
It is alleged Raymond was visiting the owner, who is his friend when the robbers arrived.
A shoot-out ensued between the robbers and the security guard.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said the four robbers assaulted the manager before attempting to flee the scene.

The security guard was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
Police are investigating a case of murder, attempted murder, business robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms.
Manaka added that one robber is still at large and they are pleading with anyone with information to come forward.
Bongani Kambule, Raymond’s brother, explained Raymond decided to use his professional skills during the shooting using his licensed firearm, but he was shot and killed in the process.
