My name is Michael Mazibuko, the Democratic Alliance Ward 85 candidate in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE).
I am standing as a ward councillor to ensure all residents in my ward experience the principles of freedom, fairness, opportunity and diversity and a one South Africa for all.
The major issues affecting the ward include basic failures in service delivery, numerous unfixed potholes and faulty street lights.
My vision for the ward is to develop the community through several initiatives that foster increased participation.
This participation will create economic opportunities for all residents and the youth, especially.
I am a pastor and a community leader.
I assist those who are treated unfairly by the current administration.
I take pride in being able to listen and solve the problems residents have.
I have leadership skills gained from my experience as a shop steward.
In this position, I have gained good problem-solving skills, as well as fostered good relationships with multiple stakeholders within the community.
These are important traits in being a successful ward councillor.
