Sarah Celiwe Nkosi Ramothibe is a community servant, an experienced leader with church, governance and political leadership expertise.
I will bring motherly love and unity to our society.
Clr Candidate Celiwe has served the Ward 80 community as a community health worker for the past five years, working door to door to engage different households. I am familiar with the society’s needs and challenges.
When elected as the ward councillor, I pledge to do my best on the following:
• Accessible to the community: by having monthly community meetings to receive community challenges and report back on progress.
• Service delivery champion: by being at the forefront in ensuring the community receive services properly.
• Education and skills development: work closely with the community and other stakeholders to ensure all children are at school, have access to bursaries, internships and skills development programme.
• Access to better healthcare: ensure the community have access to healthcare services and ambulances.
• Sport, recreation, art and culture: work with stakeholders in this area in promoting participation from the community at large in particular the youth and children, and advocate for better facilities.
• Local economic development: to advocate for the participation of the community in spin-off opportunities on infrastructure development projects through jobs and business opportunities, engage the private and public sector on business development programmes and push for a corporate social responsibility programme.
• Community safety: working with the community and law enforcement agencies in fighting and combating crime in the ward.
