Drugs worth R2 500 seized by police

“In Reiger Park, a suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and four rounds of ammunition.”

Kwatsaduza – During an intelligence-driven operation, members of the Crime Intelligence and EMPD Tracing units seized drugs worth R2 500 last Wednesday.
SAPS spokesperson Capt Neldah Sekgobela said the drugs included crystal meth, Mandrax and rock cocaine.
They were seized in Plastic City in Brakpan, Victoria Avenue in Benoni and Arthur Hobbs Road in Reiger Park.

“In Reiger Park, a suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and four rounds of ammunition.
“The Ekurhuleni Flying Squad arrested another suspect in Voortrekker Road for possession of suspected stolen property, illicit cigarettes and bribery,” she said.

Ekurhuleni district commissioner Maj-Gen Anna Sithole appreciated the efforts made by members to remove the presence of drugs, as well as the fight against the proliferation of illegal firearms in the district.
