“The organisation plays an active role when it comes to fighting gender-based violence and substance abuse. We offer counselling and support services to those who find themselves in need of help.
“What we have noted is that most people are not aware of the work we do.
“I am, therefore, hoping the event will help us spread the word so people know we are there whenever they need us,” she stated.
According to Angelina Sithole, who is the branch secretary, the organisation is working on establishing a relationship with other organisations to strengthen its reach.
“For us to achieve our goal we know we need to work with others. The goal is to create a network of support for those affected.
“As it is, our world is messed up, which is why we need to invite God in our attempt to fight social ills,” she said.
