Learners educated on the dangers of drugs

Kwa-Thema – Learners with special educational needs in Grade Five from Phelang School were educated on the dangers of drugs on November 10.
This was during a campaign held by the Kwa-Thema Police Social Crime Prevention Unit, Gauteng Department of Social Development and National Prosecuting Authority.
Sgt Prudence Malobola urged learners to refrain from taking drugs and being part of gangsterism.

Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Const Nkululeko Magudulela said the police saw it fit to visit the school to caution learners against partaking in gang-related activities and crime in general.
The learners were also advised to open up to their teachers and parents if they ever have any problems related to drugs, gangs and incidents of sexual activities, where they may have been raped or touched inappropriately.
