Tsakani – Three people were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and stolen property.
They were arrested during an intelligence-driven operation held to minimise house robberies in the area by the police and members of the EMPD Swat Team in response to a recent house robbery at an address along Nkumbane Street in Langaville.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mongomezulu said the members proceeded to the address of the suspects in Duduza after receiving information from community members.
“Two 9mm pistols, a 55-inch TV and a big speaker were seized from the suspects.
“The third suspect is the girlfriend of the main suspect; the boyfriend was not found,” she added.
