Businessman hijacked in Tsakani

Tsakani – A businessman who provides removal and transportation services was hijacked by a man who posed as a client on Wednesday.
It is alleged the suspect pretended to be a potential client who needed to hire his Mitsubishi canter bakkie.
When the victims arrive at the agreed meeting point he found two men on 12 Road, Tsakane next to Extension Eight, Langaville.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu explained that the two men allegedly pretended to be in business.

“Before the victim knew it, they pulled out a firearm and ordered to drive to the nearby plot where his hands and feet were tied up and was later dropped in the veld. He managed to find his way to the main road where he found help and police were contacted,” she explained.
The bakkie was later recovered but no suspects were arrested yet.
