Man’s body found in Spaarwater Dam

The body was already in an advanced stage of decomposition.

Duduza – The body of a man was found floating in the Spaarwater Dam in Duduza by a fisherman recently.
The angler was fishing at the dam when he noticed an object floating in the water. On closer inspection, he saw it was a body and called the police.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka said the SAPS water wing divers retrieved the body.

“The body was already in an advanced stage of decomposition. The man was dressed in a black T-shirt with his hands were tied.
“The body was taken to the government mortuary to determine the cause of death,” he explained.
Manaka added an inquest docket was opened and the investigation continues.
Police are calling for any person who may have information that could assist the police with the incident to call the Duduza police on 011 810 6093 or Duduza detectives on 082 828 6048.
