Body found in Spaarwater Dam

The deceased's identity is still not known.

Duduza- The body of a man was found in the Spaarwater Dam by a fisherman on Monday evening.
It is alleged the angler was fishing in the dam when he noticed a body in the water and alerted the police.
Duduza police spokesperson Sgt Harry Manaka explained that police divers were called to the scene and were able to retrieve the body.

“He was certified dead by emergency services and the body was taken to the Heidelberg mortuary for further investigation including a post mortem,” he added.
Manaka added that the deceased has not yet been identified and they are calling on community members with missing relatives that fit the age description (between 28-and 32 years) of the deceased or those who information about the incident to contact the investigating officer on 082 828 6048.
