Kwa-Thema – The body of a 26-year-old man was found dumped inside a refuse bin on Saturday morning along Hlakwana Street in Tsakani.
The deceased was identified by his father.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mngomezulu said the victim was declared dead on scene by paramedics.
“Preliminary investigation revealed the deceased was assaulted the night before at a house not far from where the body was found.
“No one has been arrested since the alleged suspect was not found at the given address. Police investigations are still underway,” she added.

Tsakani SAPS station commander Col Goodall Khumbulani Mbatha expressed his heartfelt disappointment in such incidents in the community.
He commended the braveness shown by a community member in leading to a scene of crime and he called for more assistance as the perpetrator is still on the run.
