Kwa-Thema-The family of Thapelo Moreriane are seeking answers after the local baker and businessman was stabbed to death on Sunday evening.
His body was found in an open veld between Rest in Peace and Verganoog.
The 36-year-old, who sustained multiple stab wounds to his shoulder and back, was found covered with a blanket.
He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
The deceased’s brother, Tebogo Moreriane, explained they were called to the scene by someone who recognised Tebogo.

“We are heartbroken because we don’t know what could have led to him being killed in that manner. He had left his cellphone at home to meet up with his friends on Saturday afternoon,” he explained.
He added that they are pleading with anyone who might have information about Thapelo’s killers to inform the police.
“These killers cannot go unpunished for cutting my brother’s life short,” he said.
Kwa-Thema police spokesperson Const Nkululeko Magudulela said the motive for the murder is still unknown and a case of murder has been opened.
“The suspects are unknown. We are pleading with anyone with information about the identity of the suspects to come forward or call the Kwa-Thema Police station on 011 812 4600,” he said.
