Mandlethu Primary School learners excel during maths contest

The learners' excellent performance has earned them a spot in the provincial competition.

Tsakani – Two learners from Mandlethu Primary School have made it to the provincial level following their outstanding performance at the district mathematics olympiad.
The contest took place on August 2 when Nondumiso Khoza and Dipuo Mapole participated in the competition.
Since the competition started from school to cluster level, Dipuo Mapole in Grade Five has maintained her number one position while Nondumiso Khoza in Grade Four went from position three to two, obtaining 100% for mental maths.

The school’s acting principal, Thembeni Mdhluli, expressed her gratitude to the teachers for their hard work.
“A big congratulations to the learners and a word of thanks to the teachers who work tirelessly and as a team to impart the knowledge and instil the skill and love of mathematics to our learners.
“Through their additional support and coaching, I do not doubt that these diligent learners will make a mark again in the coming provincial mathematics olympiad.
“I am appealing to any good Samaritans to assist our girls with tablets or laptops,” she said.
The next contest will be held on August 24.
