Hijacker received a harsh sentence

Vusimuzi Ninzi has been sentenced to 20 years direct sentence.

Tsakane – Vusimuzi Nenzi was sentenced by the Tsakani Regional Court on Friday.
He was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment for armed robbery and five years imprisonment for two kidnappings, which runs concurrently with the five years imprisonment he received for the three counts of possession of stolen property.
Tsakani police spokesperson Sergeant Lerato Mngomezulu said the crime took place on January 10, 2019, near the Tsakani SAPS along Ndaba Street, Ext 1.

“The victim was later dropped off in Benoni,” she explained.
The successful conviction was made possible by the hard work of Warrant Officer Bobe Nene who gathered all the available evidence that led to the arrest and was a tight case against the suspect in court.
Tsakane SAPS station commander Colonel Goodall Khumbulani Mbatha commended the professional conduct and dedication of Nene.
“We would like to assure the community of Tsakane that the police will continue to work hard to reach more successful convictions,” he added.
