Family demands justice after 19-year-old Kwa-Thema man fatally shot
The family, with the support of the community, gathered at the Springs Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Kwa-Thema – A group of angry residents and the family of the late Snenhlanhla Zwane protested outside the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Monday, demanding for his suspected killer to be jailed.
The 19-year-old was shot and killed on November 7 by an alleged drug dealer.
The suspect remains in custody since his arrest last year. His bail application has been denied twice to date and he is yet to plead in court.
An eyewitness claimed Zwane was gunned down after he approached the suspect to collect his R30 change.
He was shot in the forehead.

According to Zwane’s mother, Victoria Mzizi, they discovered the shocking news from a social media post a day after they had been searching for him.
“We went to identify his body at a government mortuary on November 9. His killing was senseless and life has been hard without him. What we want is justice for my son,” she explained.
She added the justice system should use this case to set an example for other criminals that violence doesn’t pay.
The trial has been postponed to October 4.
