Tsakani artist is on a path to spread love this festive season

The seasoned artist is calling on the community to join his campaign aimed at empowering pensioners.

Tsakani – Local artist Teboho Walaza (30), known as T-Muzik, has his heart set on spreading cheer this festive season with his community outreach project.
Through the campaign, they host Christmas parties for elderly citizens residing at local old age homes.
They also package toiletries and goodie bags for these pensioners.
He said the festive season can be lonely for most people in homes.
“Christmas is the time to spend with loved ones and as such, people concentrate on their immediate families.
“As a result, the most vulnerable members of our community feel alone and neglected.
“So, it is because of this that we want to spend the day with them, to remind them that they are loved and cared for,” said T-Muzik.

He pleads with the community to contribute to the project to achieve his goal.
“My wish is to gift various organisations on that day.
“For that to happen I need to have more than 100 gift bags.
“I am looking for anything that says Christmas but importantly the basic goods elders need.
“Previously I had to dig into my pockets but I don’t have enough to cater for all,” he explained.
T-Muzik is a three-time finalist for the Red Square DJ knockout, he has won the battle of the DJs competition hosted by the Department of Arts and Culture and was part of the top five South African Face of Gemini, among other accolades.
