Church wants addicts rehabilitated

Addicts get help at a church

Langaville – God Mercy Ministry Church in Langaville Ext Eight wants addicts to get help and be rehabilitated.

The church hosts nyaope addicts on Mondays and Thursdays, provides them with toiletries and space to bathe, offers them food and ends their days with a workshop.

Member of the church Kadi Jerry Monaheng said, “We gather addicts so that we can help them and try to understand what led them to drugs. I deal mainly with male addicts and our bishop Cynthia Mokoena focuses on the females.”

Monaheng said they also want to see the addicts rehabilitated and give their life to the Lord.

“We have those who would like to go to rehab. It would give us great pleasure if premier Panyaza Lesufi comes to visit us and also help us.

“We have seen how well he works with children when he was an MEC of education and addicts are also children,” said Monaheng.

The church would like those who can assist with clothes, food and accommodation for the addicts to call Monaheng on 064 008 6395 or Mokoena on 060 720 0537.
