Kwa-Thema – Ratanang Elderly Organisation closed off Valentine’s month on February 28 at the Holiness Church in Kwa-Thema.
The organisation had a candlelight ceremony to remember all those who passed from 2020 to 2022 due to Covid-19.
The elders dressed in red and white, as a symbol of love. They enjoyed a meal while listening to music and danced while reminiscing their youthful days.
Anna Sibanyoni, Ratanang founder said, “We want to bring back love to the elders especially those who are over 70 and to thank God for keeping them alive.”
Sibanyoni said they want the elders to feel appreciated. Among the elders who attended were 102- and 106-year-old pensioners.
