Contemporary artists hopes to create job opportunities through his skills
Exposure to art leads to modern-day master pieces
Tsakani – Siyabonga Ndzishe’s love for art has pushed him into developing pieces of art that have never been seen before.
The 31-year-old contemporary artist took a different direction back in 2012 when he started planning the opening of his company.
Despite having doubts and working hard to raise money for equipment, Siyabonga opened his art company called The Web in January 2023.
The company sells art pieces that are created by him. They are made of wool, wood, and nails and then designed into different shapes, colours and sizes.
“It has not been easy, but I think I am prepared and ready to face any disadvantage that will come along in the company,” said Siyabonga.
He added that he has always been passionate about art, especially drawing, but wanted to do something different.
He plans to expand his company and create jobs for South African youth and then expand his business abroad.
Siyabonga said, “The challenges that I am facing is that I work alone and there is a lot of work to do.
“I need two to three people who can help me by volunteering. I am willing to provide free training.”
He said that he would like to collaborate with local brands like MoFaya, Drip, and Bathu sneakers.
