Soweto soccer arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates to lock horns
The gates will open at 11:00, ahead of the 15:00 kick-off for the potentially epic Soweto Derby encounter.
Kwatsaduza – The Soweto soccer giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will lock horns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The gates will open at 11:00 for the 15:00 kick-off of the potentially epic Soweto Derby encounter.
Local Kaizer Chiefs supporter Teka Mohlahli said the team is ready to face their Soweto rival, which has, over the years, turned into their daily bread.
“We will, as always, walk away as champions of the Nedbank Cup. We have already won five matches against them and know their weak areas to attack.
“My money is on winning 2 to 1,” he added.
This season, the Chiefs have won five matches against their arch-rivals and are looking to continue their winning streak.

Mohlahli added that his team needs to work on defence, especially the centre-back.
Orlando Pirates supporter Rangwane Makgabutlane urged supporters, especially Chiefs supporters, to behave during the match and not cause chaos if the game doesn’t favour them.
“The supporters must not throw objects on the soccer pitch to raise their frustration but use the proper channels to lodge their dissatisfactions,” he said.
Makgabutlane foresees his team winning 1 to 0. The kick-off is set for 15: 00, and supporters are encouraged to get to the stadium early.
