He said the relationship between the school and the club goes long back to the 80s.

A teacher at the school and also a cricket coach Karabo Kaise said he is grateful that in different schools there are teachers who encourage the learners to be part of the mini cricket and that he would like for parents to encourage and support their children.

The school’s principal Phumla Sehume said cricket is helpful to the learner’s physical and mental development.

“Not everyone is a master academically, however, with cricket some may find a sport they can master and start from a tender age can be helpful for the learners to grow up to be stars,” Sehume said.
