Kwa-Thema – Bethel AME Church in Kwa-Thema held a prayer service for learners who will soon start their final exams on Sunday.
The aim was to pray and invite God to be with the learners throughout the exams. Learners from various schools graced the occasion.
Reverend Joko Manyaneng opened the scripture with Matthew 19:16-26 and the theme for the day was, ‘Don’t expect the impossible’.
He said the church and community must encourage and inspire the learners to do their best and trust the Lord.

“It is also the fervent wish of the church that the exams run smoothly until the last day,” he said.
Motivational speaker Mpho Mogapi spoke about leadership. He said leading encourages a feeling rather than qualification, vocation or even a title on a business card.
He said leadership is about creating movement and influence.
In conclusion, he quoted author Bonang Mohale, saying, “When you give money, you give a lot. When you give time, you give much, and when you give yourself, you give everything.”
