NPO invites entrepreneurs to attend training

Social Entrepreneurs are invited to attend a three days training workshop

Duduza – Virtue Corporate Group is calling on Ekurhuleni Far East Rand Social Enterprises and the Social Economy Organisations to attend Capacity Building Training that will take place from January 29 to 31 at 1229 Sikelela Street, Bluegumview Ext 2 in Duduza.

The Group is an NPO that provides mentoring, training, business services and sometimes funding for promising entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas.

The training will address the most common challenges or pitfalls for social entrepreneurs and outline strategies to overcome them so that they can achieve positive social, cultural, community, economic and/or earn revenue and maintain sustainability.

Clement Khumalo, the project director said, “South Africa needs a thriving social entrepreneurship sector to overcome some of its critical and development challenges.

“Social entrepreneurs find creative and sustainable ways to address challenges confronting society. Their approach innovates and combats challenges in ways that government, traditional charities or NGOs can’t.”

The participants will be empowered with the necessary skills and knowledge to conceptualise a social enterprise and develop a viable business plan considering the three steps for successful funding; understanding your unique situation before approaching funders; your funding options and positioning your social enterprise for funding success and have the basic knowledge to start and run a social enterprises that complies with philanthropic and government bodies.
