Event encourages youth to register to vote

TK’s Pop In encouraged the youth to vote.

Web Headline: Activities attract young people

Kwa-Thema – TK’s Pop In and RISE Mzansi collaborated to host a Youth Fest event cojoined with a voter registration drive on Saturday on the corner of Sibande Street and Thema Road.

The event had various activities, such as skateboarding, a gaming contest and live music featuring KwaTsaDuza’s youth artists. These activities aimed to attract young people and get them to register to vote.

RISE Mzansi national leader Songezo Zibi graced the event.

Musical performances carried the successful event through, and it was great to see the young, hopeful creatives showcase their abilities to the crowd and be well received.

Kitso Kodisang of TK’s Pop In said, “This event was a first installation held in the region, and after much communication with the youth in attendance, it was felt these activities should be a regular feature in our communities.”
