Stolen Toyota recovered, one suspect arrested
EMPD officers received information from a reliable source about a car that was stolen in Tsakani.
Tsakani – EMPD Bronberg Precinct officers recovered a stolen red and silver Toyota Condor in Benoni.
EMPD officers received information from a reliable source about a car that was stolen in Tsakani.
The information was followed up and a red and silver Toyota Condor matching the same description given with its registration plate in tact was recovered on Vlei and Uys roads in Rynfield.
“When the 38-year-old man was found in the driver’s seat of the car, he could not explain himself.
“He was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle,” said Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, EMPD spokesperson.
The suspect was detained at Benoni Police Station. The vehicle was taken to Aeroton pound by Ekurhuleni towing.
