Umsobomvu showered with shoe donation
A group of professionals from IG.com, who are also part of a work-based Black Network, made the donation.
Umsobomvu Primary School received a donation of 96 pairs of school shoes for its learners on Wednesday morning.
A group of professionals from IG.com, who are also part of a work-based Black Network, made the donation.
“We have taken the initiative to do good,” said Sifiso Khoza from the group.
They also donated two pairs of socks to each learner.
“I want to see you guys grow up and do well for yourself. And when you have done that, come back to the place where you grew up to help other children,” said Awande Nojoko, who was part of the group.

She also encouraged the learners to respect their teachers and other adults in the community. The initiative was in partnership with Walk A Mile In My Shoes.
“They have been doing this for about four years now and pointed us toward this school,” explained Khoza.
The school’s principal, Mveli Mgubuli, appreciated the gesture.
“It is said that blessed is the hand that gives than the hand that receives. When you give, you may not understand how much it touches the person you give to.
“Our children are always smiling, though some don’t come from the best homes. Thank you for adding to their smiles and helping them grow up,” he added.
