Drug Enforcement Unit nabs man (21) for selling Khat in Duduza

EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit officers nabbed the suspect after receiving a tip-off.

Duduza – Members of the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a 21-year-old man in Duduza on September 28 for possible dealing and possession of an illicit substance.

According to City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, members of the EMPD were performing law enforcement duties when they received information from a reliable source about the man selling narcotics to the community in the area.

“Officers followed the information and cornered the suspect at Ranyao Street in Duduza.

“He had four Ziplock packets with khat with an estimated street value of R250,” said Dlamini

The handcuffed suspect was taken to the Duduza Police Station.
