Pageant winner seeks support for USA event

From the stage lights of Cape Town to dreams of the USA, seven-year-old Zano Ntshangase is proving that big dreams have no age limit. Crowned International Junior Miss SA Princess 2025, this young trailblazer is on a mission to inspire – one crown, one goal and one step at a time.

Tsakani – Zanokuhle Lethabo Ntshangase (seven) was recently crowned the International Junior Miss South Africa (IJMSA) princess 2025. The pageant took place from July 2 to 5 in Cape Town.

“I was not only crowned International Junior Miss South Africa princess, I also got an award for academic excellence because I am a beauty with brains,” said Zano, as she is affectionately known.

The IJMSA pageant aims to empower young girls. The Selpark Primary School learner began competing at just four months old.

“My grandmother would parade me on the stage and show off my beauty. But now, I can say I am doing pageantry for grooming and to empower little girls my age. And, of course, the crowns and gifts,” she explained.

Zano said she enjoys modelling because she gets to make new friends and family across the world.

“It keeps me on my toes, and I love the big crowns I get to collect. My short-term goal is to represent SA abroad, and I am only one step away because I will represent SA in Orlando, Florida, USA, in December.

“I ask the community to help me reach my goal and be my means of donations and sponsorships,” she said.

When not modelling, Zano enjoys hip-hop dancing, gymnastics and playing netball. Anyone wanting to help her compete in the USA can call her mom, Lebo, on 067 773 0962 or 069 209 7464.
