Tsamaya Masters League heats up as teams chase top spots

Tsamaya Masters League teams fight for top spots as season nears its end.

Kwa-Thema – The heat continues to rise in the Tsamaya Masters Social League as teams battle it out each Sunday at Tlakula and Ntokozweni Grounds.

At Tlakula, Bazingeli Rovers held Taliano to a 1-1 draw this past weekend. Taliano is comfortably in fourth place on the log, and a win would have moved them to third.

“I am disappointed with the final score because we could have done better. My observation is that we rush when we get close to the goalposts. It could be nerves.

“I think the players need to relax and create new scoring opportunities,” said Thabo Mphathi of Taliano.

The Italians have six more games until the end of the season. Mphathi believes that they can get to the top of the log. Sipho Mpetha of Bazingeli Rovers also said his team could have done better.

“They played well, but we had many chances that we did not convert into goals. We could have walked away with a better result,” said Mpetha.
